Hook Line and Heroes (“HLH”) wants you to know that we are committed to the responsible management and protection of your privacy. We collect information to further our mission to provide unforgettable outdoor experiences, through fishing with disabled and post-traumatic stress (PTS) military veterans and heroes in our lives. We use your information to help us provide you with high quality service, carry out our mission effectively, and keep you updated on the latest news, opportunities, and achievements.
Unless you tell us otherwise, when you provide your information we assume you are agreeing to allow us to use and disclose it as allowed by law and HLH’s policies, in furtherance of our mission. We comply with all U.S. laws.
We use—and require our data management vendors to use—reasonable and appropriate security practices to safeguard your information.

Information We Collect

“Personal Information” means information that we can use to identify or contact you. We collect personal information when you:

When you make a donation or sign up to receive our newsletter, we keep your information private and secure. Hook Line and Heroes does not distribute, sell, rent or share your personal information collected online or offline to anyone, including third party vendors or businesses.

Information Security

Consistent with our Privacy Policy, Hook Line and Heroes takes the security of your personal and financial information very seriously and we take reasonable measures to safeguard your information. We comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (“PCI DSS”) for financial transactions, and other laws and regulations applicable to the information we collect from you.

Our network is composed of access-controlled measures, security monitoring tools, vulnerability management program, SSL encryption, scheduled network scans, as well as internal and external penetration tests. When it is necessary for our service providers to have access to your information, we expect the same level of data security, integrity and confidentiality standards as HLH itself provides. Additionally, we conduct security awareness training for our staff and volunteers.

While HLH uses its best efforts to maintain this level of security across all of our systems, we cannot guarantee or warrant that our systems or our service providers are not vulnerable to viruses, hacking or other security threats.
